  2/24/2012   George Pratt Shultz, distinguished fellow of  Stanford University, former U.S. Secretary of State met with Mr. Qi Wang, Deputy Director General, Organization Department of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and trainees of public administration and management of Jiangsu Province. The 30 trainees are young learders from different departments of China's Jiangsu Government and now receiving training at Stanford university, arranged by USCEC.  
         
  2/22/2012   Mr. Ying Wang met with Dr. Alex Xu, President of EachFuture Cultural Network (EFCN) in Union City. EFCN was established in 2006 and now organizes about 2000 exchange students from Chinese university and middle school to US under J1 programs per year. EFCN also recruits US English teachers to China to satisfy the increasing need for high quality English teachers from China.  
         
  2/9/2012   Mr. Ying Wang met with trainees of Guangdong Province. The trainees are yound leaders from publishing and media sectors of China's Guangdong province and will participate short term workshops at Stanford University. The program is organized by Media X at Stanford University and Futton Company.

  May 28, 2005   China's State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs Delegation visit Stanford University and San Jose State University  
         
      Headed by Mr. Zhaohua Sun, Deputy Director-General of China's State Administration of Foreign ExpertsAffairs (SAFEA), the delegation visited Stanford University and San Jose State University on May 17 and 25. According to Mr. Sun that China is intersted in sending more high officials to California famous universities for training. Mr. Yaomin Li, Deputy Director of Overseas Training, SAFEA and Mr. Zhixue Xiong, Department Director of the SAFEA Training Center accompanied Mr. Sun for the visits. The Foundation's officers joined delegations' visits.

      Hunan government officer's training group arrived in San Jose today for a 6 month training  
      program of public administration in San Jose State University. The group consists of 28 officials from different governemt departments. USCFIE is one of the major sponsors of the program.

From November 4 to December 3, 2004, the Presidents Delegation of China Universities paid a successful visit to the United States for a survey to the leadership, development strategies and fund-raising of American well-known universities.

Under the guidance of Chinese State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and Ministry of Education, this visit program was conducted by US-China Foundation of International Exchanges (USCFIE) and coordinated by San Francisco U.S.-China Exchange Council (USCEC).

The delegation, consisted of 24 presidents from China elite universities, attended 20 seminars and round-table discussions with eight top U.S. universities: Stanford University, UC Berkeley, UC Los Angles (USLA), UC San Diego (UCSD), University of Southern California (USC), CSU Los Angeles, Temple University, Columbia University. They also held a series of meetings with U. S. Department of Education, California Postsecondary Education Commission, and Department of San Francisco of Education, San Francisco United School District, etc.

Mr. Wang Ying, President of USCFIE, and Mr. Byron Athan, Chairman of USCEC hosted the first welcome dinner for this Delegation. Dr. John Hennessy, President of Stanford University gave an opening remark on the first day in Stanford-week. Dr. Andy Ge presented the first orientation lecture to the delegation. Mr. Alex Huang, Secretary General of USCEC, acted as an operating chief, major interpreter and coordinator, escorted the delegation’s entire trip in the U.S.
